Football Wide Bay administers two levels of Representative football:

The Wide Bay Intercity Competition

The Junior competition for girls and boys aged Under 12 to Under 16 is the Wide Bay Championships. This is played on four Sundays, once per month, moving each time to one of the main centres of Gympie, Maryborough, Hervey Bay and Bundaberg.

The Senior competition is the Mecano Cup which is an FA Cup style competition, that is, played firstly at CA level with the top two teams progressing to the finals rounds. The top two teams will play a home and away finals series so that the champions can be awarded the Mecano Cup.

The details and draw for these competitions can be found on the main menu under WB Rep.

Wide Bay Rep

The RSJPL program is the only pathway for high performance players who are interested in being considered for State and National selection and development.

There are seven RSJPL teams that are identified from the best of the junior players across the Wide Bay region.

The age groups for these teams are:

These players are eligible to be selected for State and National teams through the FFA/FQ player pathway. They are also considered by the Queensland Academy of Sport (QAS) and the Australian Institute of Sport (AIS) as potential candidates for further development.
