Development Squads

The Football Wide Bay Development Teams are made up of young players who love their football and aspire to play at higher levels.

They enjoy the thrill of competing under tougher conditions as well as the training involved in making them competitive at those levels. In 2009, Football Wide Bay has two development teams, the U12 Boys Harry Linning Cup team and the Under 13 Boys Peter Cox Cup team.

These teams compete in their respective State carnivals during the second week of the June/July school holidays.

In 2010, a third Development team will be added to the program - bring on the Under 15 Boys Development team!

The Orientation Day for all Development teams will be held on Sunday the 31st of January at Aldridge SHS, Boys Avenue, Maryborough.

Time: 8:45am - 3:30pm

Please wear your Orientation T-shirt; players who have not received one, will get it on the day.

What to bring: plate for shared morning tea, lunch, water, hat, sunscreen, swimwear and towel, boots/shinpads,

The program for the day is:

8:45 - 9:00 Check in

9:00-9:15 Welcome/Introduction of Coaches and Carers

9:15-10:30 Team Training

10:30-11:00 Morning Tea (shared)

11:00-1:00pm Football Freestylers Trickstars Show and Coaching session

1:00pm-1:30pm Lunch

1:30pm-3:00pm Games including pool games

3:00pm-3:30pm Team Meeting
