 Awards Criteria:

Wide Bay Volunteer of the Year

The Wide Bay Volunteer of the Year will be awarded to a person of any age who is nominated by a Football Wide Bay Club or CA. This person would be someone who spends at least five hours per week during the season, volunteering their time and services for the good of the Club or CA. Additionally, this person is someone who has a positive outlook on life and whose enthusiasm and dedication to football is an inspiration to those around them.

Wide Bay Club Coach of the Year

The Wide Bay Club Coach of the Year will be awarded to a person of any age who is nominated by a Football Wide Bay Club. This person would be someone who is dedicated to coaching at any level for the Club and who has a success in coaching, not necessarily as a Premiership winning coach. For example, this could be a coach whose team was bottom of the competition ladder, but has improved significantly over the season. Alternatively, this person may have coached winning teams for a number of years. The Club Coach of the Year will be a person who upholds the Coaches Code of Ethics, who has a positive outlook on life and whose enthusiasm and dedication to their coaching is an inspiration to those around them.

Wide Bay Club of the Year

The Wide Bay Club of the Year will be awarded to a club within the Wide Bay Zone. Clubs will self nominate. The winning club will be one that has been successful in promoting the game of football through its dedication to player development, maintenance and upgrading of its facilities, development of coaching and refereeing within its ranks, and attaining some success in local competitions. Additionally, the Wide Bay Club of the Year will be the club that espouses the true spirit of the game and in doing so evokes both passion and good conduct within its member and supporter base.
